Great to meet you!

I am a licensed pain psychologist with 22years of experience helping adults with chronic pain and stress-related conditions. I specialize in working with the role of the nervous system in emotional and physical health.

My approach is evidence-based, practical application of skills. I draw from pain psychology/Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and modern neuroscience. I help clients develop greater safety in their bodies, relate differently to difficult thoughts and sensations, and build skills that support meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based psychology and neuroscience. I help clients understand how the nervous system, emotions, and thought patterns influence mental and physical symptoms. I specialize in chronic pain and stress-related conditions. My work integrates pain psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT). Therapy is practical, nonjudgmental, and focused on helping clients move toward a more meaningful and connected life--skills/daily practices are key to healing.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, I focus on creating a calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and respected. We spend time understanding what brings you to therapy, your goals, and how your symptoms affect your daily life. I also help you begin to understand how stress, emotions, and the nervous system may be influencing what you are experiencing. Together, we identify initial goals and discuss an approach that fits your needs and pace. Clients often leave the first session with greater clarity, a sense of direction, and at least one practical insight or skill they can begin using right away.
