Great to meet you!

I know how hard it can be to reach out for help when you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like you’ve lost a little bit of yourself along the way. You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Sometimes you just need a safe place to tell your story, feel heard, and begin making sense of what you’re carrying.

Over the years, I’ve worked in private practice, psychiatric hospital settings, and hospice leadership, which has allowed me to walk alongside people through grief, trauma, crisis, major life changes, and some of the hardest seasons of their lives.

I’m also trained in EMDR and have a special interest in helping people understand how past experiences may still be affecting how they feel, think, and respond today. More than anything, I want my clients to know that therapy with me is a place where you can be yourself, talk openly, and feel genuinely heard and understood.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, and very collaborative. I want you to feel like you have a safe place to talk openly, tell your story, and feel truly heard and understood.

I also believe therapy should help you better understand yourself and give you something useful to take with you outside of the session. I’ll help you make connections, understand patterns, and learn practical tools that can help you move forward in your everyday life.

I offer gentle guidance and honest feedback, but I will always respect your pace. We’ll build on your strengths and work together to figure out what feels right for you and where you want to go from here.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really a chance for me to get to know you and for you to have a safe place to tell your story. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been weighing on you, and what you would like to feel different in your life.

There is no pressure to tell me everything at once or to know exactly what you want to work on. We’ll figure that out together. I want you to feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself.

My hope is that you leave that first session feeling a little lighter, with a better understanding of what you’re going through and knowing that you have someone in your corner as we figure out the next steps together.
