After 20 years in military medicine, I am in my second career and as a Clinical Psychologist. I am living my values continuing to help people live the life they want to live. Fostering resilience, renewal, and recovery.
My orientation as a clinical psychologist comes from the existential perspective which is humanist in nature. The focus is on the person in front of me. What your needs and goals are in therapy and in your life overall. We will work as a team to determine what you would like to achieve and how we can work best together.
Patients will set manageable goals and outcomes for therapy based upon their presenting needs. This is not a one size fits all environment. People are different so my approach is individualized within what the scope of evidence will allow.
