Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Dr. Leslie Langley, DNP, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of experience in mental health and substance use disorder treatment. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and have extensive experience providing psychiatric care across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults.

My areas of expertise include ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, schizophrenia, substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions. I specialize in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individualized, evidence-based treatment planning.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, holistic, and patient-centered, emphasizing individualized, evidence-based treatment tailored to each person's unique needs. I believe in treating the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptoms or a diagnosis. I prioritize active listening, open communication, and shared decision-making to build trusting therapeutic relationships.

I integrate comprehensive psychiatric assessments, medication management when appropriate, psychoeducation, and supportive therapeutic interventions to promote emotional stability and long-term wellness. My goal is to create a safe, culturally sensitive, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their mental health journey.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where they feel comfortable sharing their concerns. I will conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, including a review of their mental health history, current symptoms, medical background, previous treatments, and personal goals.

My priority is to listen carefully, understand each client's unique needs, and establish a trusting therapeutic relationship. Together, we will discuss diagnostic impressions and develop an individualized, evidence-based treatment plan, which may include medication management, supportive interventions, and referrals when appropriate. I also encourage questions and shared decision-making to ensure clients feel informed, respected, and actively involved in their care.

My goal is for every client to leave their first session feeling heard, supported, and confident about the next steps in their mental health journey.
