Great to meet you!

I'm Dr. Leslie Madrak. I've been a physician for almost 30 years and have worked in the field of psychiatry for 25 years. I've completed medical training at Philadelphia College of Medicine in 1997 and internship and residency training at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine (now Rowan - Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine). I have treated patients and served as educator and medical director in a variety of settings, including hospital, community programs, and office settings. I have experience with treating all general psychiatric conditions as well as substance use disorders. I may recommend traditional, gold standard treatment, as well as the latest, innovative treatments in the field.

My approach to therapy

I view each client as a person, not just a diagnosis. I encourage overall wellness and preventative care, not just symptom management. I treat everyone with respect, empathy, compassion, and non-judgment. I tailor my care to each person's individualized needs and explain my recommendations. Many seek treatment for prescription medication; however I always include supportive care, counseling, and education as part of the session. I may also recommend other types of holistic "treatment", such as vitamins, nutrition, movement, recreation, socialization, and rest, and other complimentary ways to improve your wellbeing.

What you can expect from me

I make my clients feel comfortable and at ease. My history taking process is relaxed, engaging, and conversational. After gathering information about your current and past conditions and experiences, I will be open about my thoughts and conclusions, provide information, and work together with you to formulate a plan.
