Great to meet you!

I have spent four years working in home hospice as a social worker so I have much experience in exploring themes of grief, loss, bereavement, caretaking, illness, and death. I also recently completed the two year Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program at the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy. Prior to my time as a social worker, I was trained as an actor and have both a BFA and MFA. This gives me insight into the work of actors and artists and the world of theatre.

My approach to therapy

I use a relational psychodynamic approach to therapy, which focuses not only on exploring your internal patterns of thought and behavior but also on how the therapeutic relationship can mirror and illuminate patterns in your real-life relationships. By exploring this we can work together to uncover and understand how they impact your life and relationships.

What you can expect from me

When we meet, I lead with listening with warmth and non-judgment. I like to ask questions so we can explore the issues you are bringing in more deeply. I also like to use humor at times as laughter can be a great therapeutic tool.
