Great to meet you!

My name is Les Parker, and I hold a Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Middle Tennessee State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor – Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) and National Certified Counselor (NCC).

With over 13 years of experience in the recovery community, I am deeply committed to helping individuals achieve and maintain lasting sobriety while addressing the underlying emotional and relational challenges that often accompany addiction. In my practice, I work with children of all ages, adolescents, and adults, offering support for issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is client-centered, compassionate, and evidence-based, creating a safe space for individuals to explore, heal, and grow.

I’m passionate about continuing education and staying up to date with the latest research and advancements in mental health care. My approach is client-centered, compassionate, and evidence-based, creating a safe space for individuals to explore, heal, and grow.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I believe healing happens in a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported. Together, we explore your experiences, identify patterns that keep you stuck, and build practical strategies for change.

I use an integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Person-Centered Therapy. My work is especially informed by over 13 years in the recovery community, where I’ve helped individuals navigate addiction, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

My goal is to help you gain insight, strengthen resilience, and rediscover hope—so you can move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you—your story, your goals, and what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s been working, what hasn’t, and what you hope to gain from our time together. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to; this is your space, and we move at your pace.

I strive to create an atmosphere that is safe, respectful, and judgment-free, where honesty and openness can grow naturally. Together, we’ll begin identifying immediate concerns and set realistic goals for therapy—whether that’s building coping skills, improving relationships, managing anxiety, or maintaining sobriety.

By the end of our first meeting, most clients leave feeling heard, supported, and more hopeful, with a clearer sense of direction for the journey ahead.
