Great to meet you!

Take off your shoes and get comfortable in this welcoming virtual space. Let me recognize you for taking the first step towards improving the quality of your life. Let’s identify your hopes and dreams. We will explore the challenges you are facing. My commitment to you is intently listening while we explore your goals, prioritizing safety and support each step of the way. I will provide you with the skills and problem solving strategies so you are able to make “Headway” in improving your life, so you can live the life you deeply deserve.

With over 20 years of mental health and education experience, my areas of focus are working with adults with: trauma, grief/ loss, attachment, narcissistic abuse, anxiety, depression, abandonment, substance use, insomnia, stress reduction, special needs, identity issues, and identify as LGBTQIA+,

while embracing a holistic approach.

I have had the rewarding opportunity to serve, support and provide a safe, non-judgmental space, for a variety of individuals, from various cultures, age groups, and diverse backgrounds, to feel free to express themselves. My clients have expressed that they feel hopeful, confident and empowered, and have benefited even from the first session, and refer family and friends to me.

If this is what you are looking for, I am here waiting for you to listen. See you soon!

My approach to therapy

My genuine, strengths-based, humanistic, compassionate approach is client-centered, warm, validating, and empathatic. My goals are to assist you in being more confident, supporting you in becoming the best version of yourself, listening to your needs and empowering you to live your best life. My commitments to you are being non-judgemental, an engaged listener, helping you to see your full human value, potential, and seeing you as an individual. Together, we will seek resolutions, so I can best support you in reaching your goals. Counseling is team work. I look forward to working together and encouraging you along your journey towards hope and healing.

What you can expect from me

First of all, we will engage in a brief introduction including "What has brought you to Headway today?". My commitment to you is to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental space to feel free to express yourself. Then, the next step, is the intake history. The intake history reviews your background, where you live, how long, are you single, married, in a relatioship, health history, and other details or questions which leads us to the next step, the treatment plan. You are the expert in guiding the treatment plan process. This is where you share what goals you would like to work on as part of therapy. These goals are formally stated in the treatment plan and we work together so you can achieve your specific goals towards hope, healing and thriving.
