Great to meet you!

I work with both adults and children, with particular strengths in treating adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and loss of enjoyment in daily life, as well as children struggling with anxiety or behavioral challenges. I've been told I'm a good listener who is willing to really talk things through with my patients. I believe strongly in educating clients about their medications and involving them in the decision-making process — because when people understand their options and feel like partners in their care, outcomes improve. My goal is always to find an effective treatment plan as early as possible so clients can start feeling better sooner. Outside of work, I enjoy kayaking and camping trips, spending time with family, and tending to my flowerbeds.

My approach to therapy

I take a calm, collaborative approach to psychiatric care. I prioritize open communication — explaining medication options clearly so clients feel informed and empowered to make choices that are right for them. I'm passionate about mental health treatment because I've seen firsthand how the right care can give a person a completely different life, and that possibility drives everything I do. Whether working with an adult managing depression or a child navigating anxiety, I tailor my approach to each individual's needs and work to build a trusting, supportive relationship from the start.

What you can expect from me

Many clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, unmotivated, or easily agitated — often having carried these feelings for longer than they'd like. In our first session, you can expect a calm, unhurried conversation where I take the time to truly listen to what you've been experiencing. I'll ask questions to understand your history and goals, and I'll begin discussing what treatment options might look like for you — including a thorough explanation of any medications we might consider, so you feel informed every step of the way. My aim is for you to leave feeling heard and hopeful about the path forward.
