Letha come to us with over 15 years of experience working with adolescents and adults both in outpatient and residential settings. Providing services to the homeless, victims of sexual and physical violence, military families, people involved in the criminal justice system, individuals struggling with substance use, and individuals diagnosed with severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder are some of her extensive experiences as a mental health provider. She enjoys being able to assist individuals and families build skills to become the person and unit they know themselves to be.
Letha has worked all over the country as a military spouse. She is a military Veteran’s wife and transplant recipient passionate about providing quality mental health care. She is skilled in providing counseling services to a diverse cultural population including LGBTQIA+ individuals.
Letha began her professional journey by working with family members in the military, people in need of transplants, and victims of crime in the capacity of a case manager. After a few years of providing limited services, she began pursuing her Masters degree in Psychology, to be able to provide better quality care. After completing coursework in testing, assessment, and diagnosing, she wanted to do more to help teens and adults in the community. To increase my knowledge and advocate more I decided to get additional education and earn a Masters of Social Work. Once I had this knowledge I wanted to service better and received certifications in addiction, transgender dignity model and training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) , Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Relapse Prevention Counseling (RPC).
