Great to meet you!

Hello, I am a licensed psychologist with 19 plus years of experience in providing mental health services. I earned my doctoral degree in psychology and have worked in a variety of community mental health settings before starting my private practice. I work with adolescents and adults of all ages experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, academic and career issues, marginalization, and domestic violence. I believe that compassion and kindness are strengths and that one intervention can make a world of change. I have the privilege of being invited into sacred places of your life and building a trusting relationship that may result in lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is inherently client-centered, solution-focused, and holistic. I view emotional growth as a highly integrated process, one where proven clinical strategies only truly work when they are paired with a genuine, caring therapeutic bond. To address your concerns, I utilize cognitive behavioral techniques alongside mindfulness and motivational interviewing, creating an exploration-oriented experience. Rather than treating you as just a list of symptoms, we will look at the whole picture to understand your unique needs. Together, we will pinpoint clear, actionable milestones so that our work in the therapy room translates into tangible relief and renewed confidence in your everyday life.

What you can expect from me

I want your first session to serve as a dedicated pause—a calm, non-judgmental hour where you can drop the heavy stress of your week and just breathe. During this time, we will explore your history and current symptoms at a natural, comfortable pace, without forcing you to rush through your story. I will gather the background information necessary to truly understand what you are going through, and from there, we will work together to identify your top three concerns. By the end of our conversation, we will discuss a clear way forward and map out a collaborative treatment plan, ensuring you leave with a strong sense of direction.
