Great to meet you!

Hola! I'm Leticia Estrada, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), proudly bilingual in English and Spanish. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, and substance use, and I approach therapy with warmth, cultural sensitivity, and deep respect for your lived experiences.

As an immigrant, I understand the complexities of balancing cultures, adapting to new environments, and honoring family and community values. This perspective allows me to connect with clients in a meaningful, authentic way. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel truly heard, understood, and empowered to create lasting change.

Together, we’ll explore your strengths, build resilience, and work toward a more grounded and fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed, integrative, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) to help process difficult experiences in a structured way, EMDR to support the brain’s natural healing and reprocessing of distressing memories, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you understand and heal the protective and wounded parts within you.

I also incorporate somatic and mindfulness-based strategies to support nervous-system regulation and strengthen the mind–body connection. My style is warm, person-centered, and collaborative—I prioritize safety, empowerment, and pacing that respects your readiness. I also use solution-focused and attachment-informed approaches to help you build practical coping skills, improve relationships, and move toward long-term emotional well-being.

Together, we’ll work to reduce distress, build resilience, and create meaningful, sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, compassionate space where we move at your pace. I’ll start by getting to know what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from our work together. We’ll explore your history only to the extent that feels safe and necessary, with no pressure to share more than you’re ready for.

I take a trauma-informed and collaborative approach, so we’ll discuss what helps you feel comfortable, any current symptoms you’re managing, and the goals you’d like to focus on. I may introduce gentle grounding or somatic strategies to help you settle into the process, and I’ll explain how modalities like EMDR, IFS, and TF-CBT can support your healing.

By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer understanding of the therapy process, a sense of how we’ll work together, and initial steps to support you between sessions. My priority is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path forward.
