Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m Dr. Leticia Gonzalez-Castro, a dedicated mental health professional and educator with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients of all ages—from young children to adults—navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, family dynamics, and educational hurdles. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Houston and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management from Saint Thomas University, Florida, blending deep clinical understanding with strategic, advocate-minded care. My passion lies in empowering individuals and strengthening communities, and I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward growth and healing.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in strength-based practices. I believe that therapy should be a safe space where you feel heard, respected, and truly understood. Drawing on my extensive background in both social work and education, I look at the whole picture—how your personal history, environment, family, and educational or work experiences shape your overall well-being. Whether we are tackling anxiety, managing life transitions, or working through complex family dynamics, my goal is to provide tailored strategies and community-minded advocacy that help you thrive.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment where we take things at your pace. We will focus on getting to know each other, discussing what brings you to therapy, and exploring your main goals or concerns. Together, we will outline a realistic path forward that fits your unique needs and aspirations. You will leave our initial meeting with a clear sense of support, initial steps to consider, and a partner in your mental health journey.
