Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 10 years of experience providing mental health and substance use services to adolescents, adults, and families. My professional background includes work in hospitals, crisis response, outpatient settings, community-based services, and behavioral health care. These experiences have allowed me to work with individuals facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges.

I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship issues, family conflict, substance use concerns, and major life transitions. I also have experience supporting clients with self-esteem issues, emotional regulation difficulties, caregiver stress, parenting concerns, and work-related stress.

I earned my Master of Social Work degree and hold advanced credentials in substance use and court-related evaluations, including SAP and Psycho-sexual certifications. My goal is to provide compassionate, culturally responsive, and high-quality care that meets clients where they are while helping them build the tools they need to move forward with confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I believe therapy should be a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can be honest about what they are experiencing and feel supported as they work toward their goals.

I work closely with clients to understand how their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and past experiences may be affecting their current struggles. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, trauma responses, relationship challenges, or emotional distress, and we create realistic strategies for change.

I use evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused, person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care. I also incorporate mindfulness, coping skills, emotional regulation techniques, communication strategies, and problem-solving skills to help clients better manage stress and improve their daily lives.

My style is active, compassionate, and goal-oriented. I want clients to leave sessions feeling heard, understood, and empowered with practical tools they can use outside of therapy

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a supportive and relaxed conversation focused on getting to know them and understanding what brought them to therapy. I will ask questions about their current concerns, symptoms, stressors, mental health history, family background, relationships, and any goals they hope to achieve through counseling.

The first session is also an opportunity for clients to ask questions, share what they are comfortable sharing, and determine whether we are a good fit. There is no pressure to talk about everything all at once. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and I strive to create an environment where clients feel safe, respected, and comfortable.

By the end of the session, clients can expect to have a better understanding of how I work, what areas we may focus on in treatment, and some initial goals or next steps for therapy. My goal is for clients to leave the first session feeling supported, hopeful, and confident about the process.
