Great to meet you!

Letoya Wyllie is an Afro-Caribbean psychodynamic psychotherapist who incorporates a holistic/multi-systemic and trauma-informed lens when working with clients. She gained her Masters of Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and has experience working with diverse populations in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals and outpatient article 31 clinics.

My approach to therapy

Letoya utilizes a compassionate approach to working with adults experiencing a range of life transitions and mental health challenges, such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and relational issues.

What you can expect from me

In the intake I like to get a sense of a client's background/history so that I can better understand the challenges that have brought them into therapy. Clients can then expect that I would use a modality that best suits their goals (i.e. CBT for challenging anxious/distorted thoughts or psychodynamic psychotherapy for unconscious patterns or how our past can shape our current behaviors/emotions).
