Great to meet you!

I have found my true calling in doing what I love most: guiding people through gender transition. My name is Letty Fields, and as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona with over 16 years of experience, I have an intentionally niche practice. I only work with adults and seniors who have gender identity issues or are wanting to transition, and I guide them through the transition process. That is all I do, and I do it with deep intention. I provide a highly focused, compassionate space for LGBTQ+ individuals ready to take the next steps in their journey, limiting my scope to ensure you receive the most dedicated, affirming support possible. I also happily integrate support for women's issues alongside our transition work. I offer in-person sessions at my Tucson office on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and sometimes Tuesdays. It is a profound honor to walk alongside you as you discover and embrace your truest self.

My approach to therapy

I believe that gender dysphoria is not a mental illness to be "fixed," but a unique journey that deserves affirming, knowledgeable, and specialized support. I do not do traditional mental health counseling, meaning I do not work with relationship issues, family conflict, or severe depression and anxiety. Instead, my entire approach is grounded in Humanistic and Transpersonal modalities, focusing exclusively on gender identity exploration. When clinically appropriate, we may address mild depression, recognizing that this often naturally resolves through the transition process itself. By combining my extensive experience with deep, client-centered care, we will collaboratively outline tangible goals for your transition, ensuring you feel completely respected, informed, and empowered at every single step of the process.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out to begin your transition journey takes immense courage, and my hope is that our initial meeting acts as a safe, validating refuge. When you step into my office, I strive to cultivate a warm, entirely non-judgmental environment right from the start. During our first session, we will gently explore your history, your relationship with your gender identity, and the specific goals you have for your transition at a natural, comfortable pace. There is never any pressure to unpack everything at once. I want to fully understand where you are on your path so we can collaboratively design a clear, supportive roadmap for your future, leaving you feeling seen, accepted, and confident in the healing work we are about to do together.
