I'm Levarine, a Licensed Independent Social Worker and trauma-informed therapist based in Ohio. Through my practice, House of Shalom Therapeutic Services, I offer neurodivergent-affirming care for adults who are ready to move from surviving to truly thriving. My work blends evidence-based modalities — including Internal Family Systems, Brainspotting, and somatic therapy — with a deep respect for the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. Whether you're navigating trauma, identity, or the quiet exhaustion of masking who you are, House of Shalom is a space where you are welcome exactly as you are.

What makes my work different is that I don't separate the clinical from the human. Many therapists are trained to treat symptoms — I'm trained to understand the whole story behind them. At House of Shalom Therapeutic Services, I combine the precision of evidence-based modalities like Internal Family Systems and Brainspotting with a genuine belief that healing is also spiritual, somatic, and deeply personal.

I am neurodivergent-affirming at my core — which means I don't pathologize the ways your brain works or the ways you've learned to cope. I see your protective patterns not as problems to eliminate, but as intelligent responses to real experiences. Our work together is about understanding those parts of you, not fighting them.

I also bring something most clinicians don't: the lived experience of building resilience across very different seasons of life — as a soldier, a grandmother, an emergency social worker, and a healer. That breadth means I can meet you in complexity without flinching.

At House of Shalom, you won't be rushed through a protocol or reduced to a diagnosis. You'll be seen, held in your full humanity, and guided toward the version of yourself that has always been waiting on the other side of the work.

Your first session is yours — there's no agenda to perform and nothing you need to have figured out before you arrive.

We'll start by getting acquainted: I'll ask about what brought you here, what's felt heavy lately, and what you're hoping might shift. I'll also share a little about how I work, so you can decide whether my approach feels like the right fit for you.

I pay close attention not just to what you say, but to how your body holds your story — the places where words run out, where you hold your breath, where things get complicated. That's often where the most important work begins.

By the end of our first session, you should leave with a sense of being heard, some early clarity about what we might explore together, and a feel for what our work could look like. There's no pressure to commit before you're ready. My goal is simply for you to feel safe enough to come back.
