Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in both inpatient psychiatric settings and outpatient therapy. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Missouri State University, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based, client-centered care.

My background includes working with individuals across a range of needs, from acute crisis stabilization to ongoing therapeutic support. I have extensive experience helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, self-harm, anger, aggression, and oppositional defiant behaviors. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which I frequently use to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical coping strategies.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in authenticity. I believe that therapy works best when clients feel comfortable being themselves, so I bring a warm, sometimes humorous style into sessions to help create a relaxed and approachable environment.

I focus on meeting clients where they are, recognizing that everyone comes into therapy with different experiences, needs, and readiness for change. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work alongside you to understand your goals and tailor treatment in a way that feels meaningful and realistic.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my main focus is getting to know you. We will talk about what brought you in, what you have been experiencing, and what you hope to get out of therapy. I also take time to understand your background, current stressors, and any patterns or challenges you have noticed in your life.

Together, we will begin identifying initial goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you. Whether that is improving emotional regulation, reducing anxiety or depressive symptoms, managing anger, or building healthier coping strategies, I want you to feel involved and empowered in setting the direction of your treatment.
