Great to meet you!

Lezlie brings over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families, along with three years of experience as a school counselor. My background in education and counseling allows me to understand the academic, social, emotional, and life challenges individuals face at different stages of development.

I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and valued. Whether I am working with a child, teen, or adult, I believe in meeting each person where they are and building on their existing strengths. My goal is to work collaboratively with you to foster growth, resilience, and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to feel welcoming, supportive, and conversational. My priority is creating a space where you feel comfortable and understood. During this initial meeting, we will discuss what brings you to counseling, your current concerns, personal strengths, and goals for therapy.

For children and adolescents, I focus on building rapport through conversation and age-appropriate activities. For older adolescents, the first session typically involves exploring current stressors, patterns, and desired changes. There is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable — trust and connection are built at your pace.

We will also review confidentiality, expectations, and how we will work together moving forward. By the end of the session, you can expect a clearer understanding of next steps and a collaborative plan tailored to your needs.
