Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Dr. Lin! I'm a licensed clinical psychologist who is specialized in individual therapy for trauma, sleep, depression, anxiety, and women's issues. Throughout my career, I have worked with many clients, with presenting problems such as anxiety, depression, trauma (including childhood, military, civilian, or sexual traumas), sleep difficulties, navigating life transitions, struggles with race-related stressors and discrimination, burnout, and so on. I have also worked with veterans across various VAs in my 15+ years of practice. I often tell my clients that taking care of our mental health is crucial to taking care of our entire being. If we can make the effort to take care of our bodies, our people, and our belongings, why can't we make the same effort to care for our minds? I believe it is a privilege to be able to support my clients in their journey of self-growth.

My approach to therapy

Everyone deserves a safe space for healing, and I want to provide that safe space for all of my clients. We will work collaboratively to design a treatment plan tailored to your goals and expectations. Therapy can be hard, so I want to be a supportive guide through the process, while still helping you challenge the difficult topics and areas of change you sought therapy for. I also use evidence based treatments that provide effective tools that will stay in your tool box for the rest of your life.

What you can expect from me

Our work together will start with an introductory session where you can share your story and what your goals and expectations are for therapy. We will work collaboratively to find the right treatment plan for you. I strive to create a safe and caring environment, so you can feel more open to being vulnerable and communicate openly in sessions. This is not always easy, but know that I'm here for you every step of the way. From there, we will discuss and customize what the plan for treatment will look like. By the end of therapy, I hope that my clients will be able to recognize their own strengths, witness their self-growth, and know that they now have a set of skills that can turn to to take better care of their own mental health.
