Great to meet you!

If you're carrying anxiety, old trauma, or simply feeling like it's time for something different, you're in the right place. I'm Lia Brooks, an LCSW with 15 years of experience helping adults work through anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the emotional weight of chronic illness or caregiving. I'm EMDR-trained and committed to creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel genuinely heard. Whatever

brought you here, you don't have to face it alone.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is a collaborative process where you are the expert on your life, and my role is to support and guide you toward your goals. I tailor treatment to your unique needs using evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy. Together, we'll identify what's keeping you stuck, build practical coping skills, and help you create lasting, meaningful change. My hope is that you'll leave each session feeling heard, supported, and empowered.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's normal to feel nervous. During our first session, we'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, explore your goals, and discuss how we can work together. There's no pressure to share everything at once—we'll move at a pace that feels right for you. My hope is that you'll leave feeling comfortable, understood, and encouraged.
