Great to meet you!

I am a Clinical Social Worker in private practice in New York. I draw on narrative and relational psychodynamic modalities in my work. My background is in fine arts and my therapeutic approach is deeply informed by this experience and the recognition of the role creativity can play in healing. I also have years of experience working with LGBTQIA people and a special interest in helping transgender and gender expansive people and their families manage the transitions in their lives.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My goal as a therapist is to create a safe and accepting space in which you can explore the stories that have made up your life- those that reflect your strengths and resilience as well as those that have been accomplices to your suffering. I see myself as an invested collaborator in the process of your self-discovery and healing, a process that we will tailor to you based on your specific needs and goals.

What you can expect from our first session

In a typical session, we will start by exploring whatever feels most pressing and approach it with curiosity and an openness to go wherever it leads us. Through this process of open-ended exploration of thoughts and feelings, my clients develop greater self-awareness, cultivate authenticity, improve the quality of their relationships and deepen empathy for themselves and others.
