Great to meet you!

Since 2018 I have worked as a therapist mostly concentrating on those who have experienced trauma. Though I have particularly enjoyed therapy work as it relates to those desiring better relationships with people in their lives. In the past, I have worked in military and paramilitary organizations and disaster response which I believe helps me connect with others who have had similar experiences, and I love working with varied backgrounds and experiences.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is like exercise. If you are doing it right, it is probably uncomfortable; though, moments of joy, contentment, and fun may be interwoven. I find being judgemental of people to be a lot of work, so avoid it as much as possible in life and my practice. I do find curiosity about the world and people to be one of my most important tools as a practitioner. Telling the difference is important. I am interested in your story, how you got to this moment, and where I can help you go.

What you can expect from me

I really want clients to use therapy to achieve the goals they want for themselves whether that be a more content existence, being better at managing stress, dealing with trauma, improving communication, etc. Sometimes we need help figuring out the goal, but I think it should be mostly client directed, therapist facilitated. I prefer to help the client make those goals as measurable as possible to stay on track through the process.
