Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master's degree from Texas A&M International University. Over the past three years as a fully licensed clinician, I have worked in both community mental health and in private practice, where I have had the opportunity to work with adolescents and adults navigating a variety of challenges. I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, and life transitions.

I believe therapy should be a space where you can be honest about what you're experiencing. My goal is to a create a warm, genuine environment where you can achieve that and explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships to better understand yourself.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered, and heavily influenced by the belief that you are the expert in your own experiences. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma informed practices, I would like to help individuals explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

I hope to help individuals develop greater awareness of their patterns, gain a better understanding of themselves, and identify meaningful ways to approach the challenges they are experiencing.

What you can expect from me

In our first meeting together, you can expect me to ask questions and listen to you share what brought you to therapy. It is also an opportunity for us to get to know one another and see how we work together.

I will begin learning about what you have been experiencing and where you would like therapy to go, while you get a sense of what my approach to therapy is like.

Our first meeting is also an opportunity to collaboratively identify goals for counseling and areas you may want to work on in our time together.
