Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and families through life’s challenges. I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered.

I specialize in helping clients with:

Anxiety and stress

Trauma and emotional regulation

Behavioral challenges

School-related concerns

Family and relationship dynamics

I believe that every client has strengths and the ability to grow, and my role is to walk alongside you, helping you build skills, gain insight, and feel more confident navigating life.

My background includes working in school-based mental health, where I support students with emotional, behavioral, and social concerns. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT, along with play therapy techniques when working with younger clients. My approach is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, meaning I always consider each person’s unique experiences, background, and strengths.

I am bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to connect with and support a diverse range of clients and families.

My approach to therapy

Hola — soy Liliana. I'm a bilingual (English / Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor, and I work with adults, teens, and families navigating the kind of stress that doesn't always show up on the outside — anxiety that won't quiet down, the weight of past trauma, postpartum overwhelm, relationship strain, grief, or the daily exhaustion of managing a chronic condition. Many of my clients are Latina/o, first- or second-generation, and have spent years putting everyone else first. In our work, you get an hour to put yourself first.

I trained at Kansas State University and spent years in school-based mental health, supporting children and families through emotional and behavioral challenges. That depth carries into my work with adults when family, parenting, or generational patterns show up. My approach is trauma-informed and culturally responsive — your background, identity, and lived experience are central to our work.

What you can expect from me

Mostly we're just getting to know each other. I'll ask what brought you in, what you've already tried, and what would feel different if therapy worked. You don't need to come in with the right words or a clear plan — that's part of what I'm here for. By the end of the session you'll have a sense of how we work together, the beginnings of a few goals, and — most importantly — the feeling of being heard. There's no pressure to share everything at once. Trust gets built over time.
