Great to meet you!
I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping children, adolescents, and families navigate life’s challenges. I strive to create a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable being themselves.
I support clients experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, difficulties with emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, school-related concerns, and family or relationship difficulties. I believe every person has strengths and the capacity to grow. My role is to walk alongside you or your child while helping you develop practical skills, gain insight, and feel more confident managing difficult experiences.
My background in school-based mental health has given me extensive experience supporting students and families with emotional, behavioral, and social concerns. This perspective helps me understand how a child’s well-being can be influenced by their development, family relationships, school environment, and broader life experiences.
Depending on each client’s age and needs, I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also incorporate play-based techniques when working with younger clients, giving them developmentally appropriate ways to communicate, process emotions, and build new skills.
My work is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and tailored to each person’s background, identity, experiences, and strengths. I offer counseling in both English and Spanish, allowing clients and families to participate in the language in which they feel most comfortable expressing themselves.
