Great to meet you!

If you're struggling with intrusive thoughts, compulsions, persistent anxiety, panic, avoidance, or the effects of trauma, you may feel caught in patterns that are difficult to change on your own. I'm a licensed therapist with more than 20 years of behavioral health experience specializing in the assessment and treatment of OCD, anxiety disorders, and PTSD.

I work with adults experiencing a range of OCD presentations, including intrusive thoughts and mental compulsions ("Pure O"), scrupulosity, health-related OCD, existential concerns, contamination fears, checking, reassurance seeking, and other compulsive patterns. I also treat anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety, panic, and phobias, as well as PTSD.

My approach is structured, collaborative, and individualized, with services available in both English and Spanish.

My approach to therapy

I use evidence-based treatments that directly address the patterns maintaining OCD, anxiety, and trauma-related symptoms. For OCD, I provide Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). For anxiety disorders, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and exposure-based interventions. For PTSD, I provide Prolonged Exposure (PE).

My approach is active and collaborative. We'll work together to understand what's maintaining your symptoms, develop clear treatment goals, and use interventions selected intentionally based on your needs. I'll explain what we're doing and why so that you're an informed and active participant throughout treatment.

Therapy with me goes beyond supportive conversation. You'll learn practical strategies and practice new ways of responding to anxiety, uncertainty, intrusive thoughts, avoidance, or trauma-related experiences both during and between sessions.

What you can expect from me

Our first sessions focus on developing a thorough understanding of what you're experiencing, how your symptoms are affecting your daily life, your treatment history, and what you hope to change. I'll provide a welcoming and supportive space while beginning a structured assessment that may continue beyond our first session.

When appropriate, I may use evidence-based assessment measures to better understand your symptoms and establish a baseline that allows us to monitor progress over time. We'll identify patterns that may be maintaining your symptoms and discuss which treatment approach is most appropriate for your needs.

My goal is for you to understand what we're working on and why. Together, we'll develop clearly defined treatment goals and a plan grounded in evidence-based care, and you'll have opportunities to ask questions throughout the process—including questions about whether I'm the right therapeutic fit for you.
