Great to meet you!

Seeking counseling is a courageous first step, and finding the right therapist is an important part of the healing process. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported.

I am a licensed counselor with extensive experience working with individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and families. I have had the privilege of helping clients navigate a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship and marital issues, family conflict, grief and loss, life transitions, trauma, addiction, parenting concerns, and emotional and behavioral difficulties.

My areas of specialization include couples in crisis, premarital counseling, marriage enrichment, divorce recovery, family therapy, child and adolescent development, blended family issues, and counseling for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. I also enjoy helping parents develop healthy communication and effective parenting strategies while strengthening family relationships.

My approach to therapy

My counseling approach is collaborative, practical, and personalized. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based approach that helps clients identify unhelpful patterns of thinking, develop healthier perspectives, and learn practical skills to create meaningful and lasting change. I believe that every person possesses strengths and resilience, and I work alongside my clients to help them discover solutions that fit their unique circumstances, values, and goals.

I believe true healing involves the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. This belief shapes the compassion, hope, and respect I bring to every counseling relationship, while honoring each client's unique beliefs, values, and life experiences.

What you can expect from me

Your first counseling session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you can share your story at your own pace.

During our first session, we will discuss what brings you to counseling, the challenges you are currently facing, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. I will ask questions about your personal history, relationships, and other important aspects of your life so I can better understand your unique situation. You're welcome to ask questions as well, because finding the right therapist is an important part of the counseling process.

Together, we will identify your goals and begin developing a treatment plan tailored to your needs. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based interventions when appropriate, I will help you recognize unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen healthy coping skills, and develop practical strategies for overcoming life's challenges.
