Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington state and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado. I have been in the mental health field since 1995, and have worked as a private practice, agency and hospital therapist, clinical supervisor, program developer and director, and in a number of public health and mental health leadership roles. I also have training and experience in life, career and leadership coaching.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My go-to approach is acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), which is a proven form of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) that offers a unique approach that changes your relationship with self-defeating thoughts and enables action based on values. In addition to talk therapy, clients will actively learn and practice new ways of thinking, being, and relating. I also offer EMDR and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.

What you can expect from our first session

Sessions with me will include a mix of "talk therapy" and learning and applying new tools and skills. I am warm and supportive while also offering new perspectives, challenging current ways of being that aren't working well, and accountability as you navigate the change process. I often provide readings, writing prompts, worksheets, and experiential activities to complete between sessions.
