Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Linda Nicole Bakely, a licensed clinical social worker with a Doctor of Social Work degree from Tulane University. I specialize in trauma, attachment, relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence—including autism and ADHD—identity development, and substance-use recovery. I help adults understand how past experiences affect their emotions, choices, and relationships. Together, we can move beyond survival mode and build a life that feels more secure, intentional, and authentic.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, holistic, and empowering. I integrate EMDR, CBT, IFS-informed, SSP, HeartMath®, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and attachment-focused strategies based on your individual needs. We will explore the patterns keeping you stuck while building practical skills for emotional regulation, stronger relationships, and meaningful change. Therapy will move at a pace that feels both safe and productive.

What you can expect from me

Your first session will be a supportive, judgment-free conversation about what brought you to therapy and what you hope will change. We will explore your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, and goals without expecting you to share more than you are ready to discuss. I will explain how we might work together and answer your questions. By the end of the session, we will begin creating a clear, collaborative plan for moving forward.
