Great to meet you!

I want my clients to know that my commitment to their well-being is deeply rooted in both my personal and professional experiences. I am not only a counselor, but also a mother and a wife, which gives me a unique perspective on the challenges many face in their everyday lives. My background includes education and practical experience in nursing, public education, counseling, and mental health, allowing me to approach each client’s needs with empathy, understanding, and a holistic view. I have served my community for many years—first as a volunteer in my local church, then as an educator for 28 years, and later as a school counselor. My journey continued as a mental health counselor with the local authority and in private practice, where I have worked with individuals and couples of all ages, including teens, adults, and senior adults. The combination of my roles as a professional and as a family member enables me to connect with clients on multiple levels, supporting them through life’s transitions with compassion and expertise.

My approach to therapy

Our approach to counseling is rooted in compassion and a deep commitment to fostering self-awareness. We believe that understanding your own emotions, thoughts, and behaviors is the foundation for meaningful growth and healing. In our sessions, you are met with empathy and acceptance, creating a safe environment where you can openly explore your feelings without judgment.

Together, we will gently uncover the patterns that influence your current challenges, encouraging you to reflect on your inner experiences and gain clarity about your needs and values. As you develop greater self-awareness, you will learn to treat yourself with kindness and compassion, paving the way for healthier relationships and a more fulfilling life. Our goal is to support you in becoming more attuned to your inner world so you can navigate life's transitions with resilience and confidence.

What you can expect from me

We will look at how your past affects your present actions and thoughts. We will give you tools to help fix unhelpful thinking patterns, so you can move forward with more confidence and self-awareness.

Our aim is to help you see yourself as the hero of your own story, recognizing the strength and determination that have helped you get through tough times. We honor your journey and work towards a future where you feel more true to yourself and ready to face whatever comes your way with courage.
