About Me:

I am guided by my values of Compassion, Wisdom, Healing and Empowerment. My focus is helping people THRIVE in healthy lifestyle and wellbeing.

I bring 25 years of experience in social work, including medical social work, hospice care, geriatric care management, and service as a program coordinator with AmeriCorps. I have facilitated family caregiver support groups, dementia care training, women’s empowerment training. My background also includes International Social Work, where I have supported underserved populations. Guided by a deep sense of compassion, I have worked overseas in India and Southeast Asia, supporting women, children, and older adults.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and a Master’s degree in Social Work, along with certifications in Integrative Mental Health, Yoga Wellness, and Mindful Ecotherapy. Outside of my professional work, my interests include ancient wisdom of the East/consciousness, sustainability and regenerative farming, caring for animals, art and painting, and Ayurveda. Ayurveda is a holistic lifestyle system from India that promotes balance of mind, body, and spirit through daily habits, nutrition, and self-care.

My approach to therapy

I am a social worker at heart so I am very flexible and willing to support you exactly where you are. I am your strongest advocate, therapeutic ally and committed supporter.My work is grounded in evidence-based practices and tailored to each individual’s needs.

Some helpful modalities you may choose from include reflective questions, emotional processing, I create a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings with validation, empathy, and compassion—what I refer to as a stress-reducing approach.

Other methods may include psychoeducation around positive coping skills, emotional regulation practices such as mindfulness and self-compassion, and gentle somatic exercises to help calm the nervous system.

To address psychosomatic stress, we may also incorporate movement, expressive arts or somatic exercises, breathing techniques. For shifting pessimistic thought patterns, we can explore practices such as cultivating gratitude, developing a growth-oriented mindset, and establishing supportive wellness habits that promote balance and overall wellbeing.
