Great to meet you!

Hi! I am a psychologist, author, and educator who loves helping people find more straightforward ways of coping with life's challenges. I created the Tiny Professors (TM) line of therapy books to help children and families deal with significant life challenges. I graduated from Hofstra University, earning my doctorate in psychology, after which I became an adjunct professor at Queens College, and began practicing in schools, private practice, assisted living facilities, and now online.

My approach to therapy

I am educated in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, but I believe we can benefit from different theories differently. In other words, the therapy needs to fit the patient and the problem. I am passionate about helping my clients to understand and believe in the treatments that I ask them to try, because this is what makes them most likely to succeed.

What you can expect from me

My down-to-earth nature makes me easy to talk to and listen to as we tackle challenges head-on. With careful consideration about what works best for you, we will brainstorm how to handle each situation and think about things in a more positive and helpful light. Between sessions, I expect you to think about what we talk about and then put those thoughts into action (some big, some small.) As your therapist, I am your confidant, teacher, and cheerleader.
