Great to meet you!

Hello, I was inspired to become a licensed therapist because people naturally confide in me; friends, family, and strangers. They came to me when they were going through hard times. I went to Marshall University for my Master of Social Work and then completed two years of additional supervision and testing to receive my LICSW.

I specialize in providing talk therapy for individuals 18+ with a variety of needs: Substance abuse Disorder, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Shame, and Stress. I specialize in working with clients that have been struggling with their mental health for a long time. I help people claim their healing and to do better than just take what life is dishing out.

My approach to therapy

I like to take an eclectic and interactive approach to therapy. I work with clients to understand their personal needs and tailor the approach according to what works best for them. I give feedback and ask for feedback to fine tune the therapy interventions to their unique circumstances. I use a combination of psychoanalytic, CBT, DBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, IFS, and Interpersonal Therapy techniques.

What you can expect from me

I provide a free 15+minute consultation by phone so that prospective clients can get a sense of what it is like to talk to me, ask me questions, let me know what they are wanting to address in therapy, and discuss insurance and payment methods.
