Great to meet you!

I have a natural love for people and recognize that each person's journey is unique and sacred. It's my honor to support you through difficult or overwhelming times. As a daughter of Chinese immigrants from Taiwan, I consider cultural and intergenerational realities that shape you. After graduating with a MA in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University, I started Open Forest Counseling and Coaching in 2009. Now, I am a proud mother of 2 teenagers, wife, and meditator.

My approach to therapy

My compassionate approach integrates social justice grounded in somatics (the body) while befriending emotions and centering the soul. My collaborative approach recognizes you as the expert of your own life and facilitates the transformations for which you're ripe and ready. Together, we will customize integrative strategies that work to support you and your unique circumstances. Whatever you are struggling with (e.g. belonging, racial trauma, depression, anxiety, burnout, parenting) you are not alone.

What you can expect from me

For each session, I invite you to come as you are. I aim to provide a warm and supportive environment in which you can show up honestly and dive into addressing your needs. Coming in with some focused intention will help to ensure you get what you need out of sessions. Although, you can also come into sessions without anything in particular in mind and find that emergent topics needing to be addressed organically arise.
