Great to meet you!

Linda Hydro, PMHNP-BC, is the owner of Nurtured Balance Wellness, PLLC, where she provides compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults across North Carolina. She specializes in psychiatric evaluations and medication management for anxiety, depression, ADHD, women's mental health, pregnancy, postpartum mental health, perimenopause, and other life transitions. Linda offers in-person appointments in Cary, North Carolina, as well as secure telehealth visits throughout North Carolina.

With more than 25 years of experience in women's health and mental health care, Linda understands that emotional wellness is deeply connected to every stage of life. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, difficulty focusing, hormonal changes, pregnancy, postpartum adjustments, or feeling unlike yourself, she provides a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can be heard and understood.

Linda believes that effective psychiatric care begins with listening. She takes time to understand each person's unique experiences, medical history, lifestyle, and goals before developing an individualized treatment plan. When appropriate, treatment may include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, education, and practical strategies to support long-term emotional wellness.

Her goal is to help every patient feel respected, empowered, and confident in their treatment while building a collaborative partnership focused on lasting improvement and a better quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, compassionate, and personalized. I believe the best treatment decisions are made when we work together and you feel comfortable asking questions and participating in your care.

During our visits, I take time to understand not only your symptoms but also your medical history, daily life, relationships, stressors, and personal goals. I provide thoughtful psychiatric evaluations and medication management while ensuring you understand your treatment options and feel confident in every decision we make together.

I have a special interest in helping adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, pregnancy and postpartum mental health concerns, perimenopause, and other women's mental health challenges. I also work with individuals navigating major life transitions, chronic stress, and emotional overwhelm.

My goal is to create a supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful progress toward improved mental health and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and develop a clear understanding of your concerns. We'll complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, discuss your symptoms, medical and mental health history, current medications, lifestyle, and treatment goals.

Together, we'll create a personalized care plan based on your individual needs. If medication is appropriate, we'll discuss the available options, expected benefits, possible side effects, and answer any questions you may have so you feel informed and comfortable with your treatment.

My goal is for you to leave your first appointment feeling heard, supported, and confident about your next steps, with a clear plan designed to help you move toward better mental health and improved quality of life.
