Great to meet you!

I have been a licensed mental health counselor for 30 years. I have helped clients with depression, anxiety, past trauma, relationship conflict, and eating disorders. I believe the most important aspect of therapy is trust between the therapist and client. In order to build this trust, I am always honest, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I believe a client is his or her own expert but may need help letting go of negative thought patterns and feelings of low self esteem in order to reveal this.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My style of treatment includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exploring family dynamics, improving coping strategies, and teaching mindfulness techniques.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect to learn how their past has impacted who they are and how this awareness can help to change their perspective on current struggles. They will also develop better coping strategies to manage anxiety and depression, including the practice of mindfulness.
