Great to meet you!

My therapeutic approach integrates traditional clinical modalities with alternative healing practices. I focus on understanding each client's cultural background, personal history, and lived experiences to help them move forward in a positive, empowered direction.

I believe the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most meaningful connections a person can have. Trust, honesty, and commitment form the foundation for growth. I encourage clients to make healthy, informed decisions, learn from past patterns, and break cycles that no longer serve them.

Understanding one's triggers and emotional responses is essential for clarity and confidence. While therapy can be challenging, the rewards often lead to profound personal transformation - improving not only the individual's life but also their relationsips and overall wellbeing.

My approach to therapy

Know that all things are possible. With commitment, dedication, and hard work, meaningful change can happen. Therapy is a collaborative process - we will work equally hard, each in our own way. My goal is for every client to feel comfortable, confident, and empowered in their decision-making, and to build a life filled with joy, clarity, and purpose.

What you can expect from me

During the intial session, we will take time to understand the concerns that brought you to counseling. This includes discussing your presenting problem, any circumstances or individuals who may have influenced your decision to seek support, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. We will also explore any previous counseling experiences you may have had - both positive and negative - to help shape an approach that feels comfortable and effective for you.

Clear expectations and structure are important, so we will review the practical aspects of our work together, including scheduling, communication, and policies regarding cancellations.

I will also share an overview of my professional background. With more than 30 years of experience in private practice, hospital settings, military bases and schools. I have supported individuals, couples, families, adolescents and military communities through a wide range of challenges. My clinical experience includes working with complex life transitions, trauma, and the unique stressors faced by service members and their families. This breadth of experience allows me to provide informed, compassionate, and tailored support as we begin our work together.
