Linda Mesing Cook

Linda Mesing Cook, M.S. is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has served the Central Florida community for the past 37 years. She provides individual psychotherapy, family counseling, children’s therapy, couples counseling, and parent counseling. Her current specializations include Bipolar Disorder and family/couples counseling as well as assisting individuals who struggle with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors such trichotillomania and skin-picking.

Ms. Cook utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral approach in her treatment along with other evidence based approaches such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and Forward-Facing Trauma Therapy. She views herself as a guide, walking alongside the client as they begin to recognize unhealthy patterns of communication, unhealthy relationships, or trauma from the past. Finally, they gain new coping skills to help them move forward with confidence and security.

Clients should expect to take away a sense of hope for their future along with a sense of feeling they were heard with compassion, empathy, and understanding.
