Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Linda Pelosi, LCSW-R, and thank you so much for stopping by my profile. I am truly excited to meet you and see whether we are a great fit for the work ahead. Couples therapy is my niche, and I have been dedicated to this work for 35 years. Over these decades, I have gained deep wisdom, perspective, and compassion from the many couples I’ve had the privilege to support.

What I bring to the table is a unique ability to see each partner as an individual with their own story, needs, wounds, and strengths — and to understand how those experiences shape the couple dynamic. I work collaboratively and wholeheartedly, walking beside you as we explore new ways to bring your relationship into a healthier, more connected, and thriving place.

I look forward to the possibility of working with you soon.

My approach to therapy

My greatest strength lies in my 35 years of working with couples and families. I have learned as much from my clients as they have from me, and I bring that accumulated wisdom into every session.

My clients often describe me as:

  • Warm and welcoming
  • Open-minded and non-judgmental
  • Emotionally intuitive
  • Humorous when appropriate
  • Honest, direct, and compassionate
  • Passionate about helping couples thrive

Most of all, I bring excitement, presence, and a deep belief in your capacity to heal and rebuild together.

The Clients I’m Best Positioned to Serve

My ideal clients are couples who come in wanting to “interview” me — couples who care about choosing the right therapist and want to understand who I am, how I work, and what the process will look like. This is a chance for us to explore whether we’re the right match for your goals and your relationship’s needs.

I know that starting couples therapy can feel intimidating. My goal from the very first session is to make you feel comfortable, safe, understood, and respected. By the end of that initial meeting, I aim to have answered your questions, clarified your goals, and helped you feel grounded in the next step of your healing journey.

I always encourage couples to go home after our first session and reflect together on how the experience felt. I wholeheartedly hope to see you on my calendar — and if not, I deeply respect your decision and wish you the very best in finding the support you need to heal your relationship.

What you can expect from me

When you walk into my therapy room, you can expect to be met with open arms, warmth, acceptance, humor, and genuine compassion. I often break the ice by sharing a fun fact: I am old enough to have attended the original Woodstock — and that usually gets a smile. It’s my way of saying: You can relax here. You’re safe.

I work with monogamous couples, polyamorous partners, and clients in LGBTQIA+, kink, or alternative relationship structures. My approach is open-minded, non-judgmental, knowledgeable, and deeply accepting. I understand that couples arrive with a wide range of concerns, and I bring the experience and curiosity needed to address them.

The single most important thing in our first session is connection — that you feel comfortable, seen, and confident that we can work together as a team. I am genuinely excited to meet you and begin this journey of repair, growth, and rediscovery.
