My first approach is to create a safe environment for my patients to express their thoughts and feelings unguarded, secondly build a trusting therapeutic relationship through active listening and thoughtful questioning and promote autonomy during treatment plan in other to deliver high-quality care which is individualized in a holistic, compassionate, cultural competent manner using the most recent evidence based practice treatment modalities in psychiatry.
