Great to meet you!

I entered the field of psychiatric nursing after more than 12 years of experience as a primary care and HIV specialty provider. My career began in South Florida, where I lived and worked in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties while completing my graduate education at the University of Miami. I later continued serving the community as a family nurse practitioner before expanding my focus to mental health.

I now call the Jacksonville area home, where I live with my spouse and our two young children. I continue to stay connected to South Florida and frequently travel there to see clients. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, bike riding, practicing yoga, traveling, baking, and learning new things.

I take a genuine interest in each client’s success and am dedicated to providing the highest quality of care. I am committed to lifelong learning and continually invest in my education and clinical expertise to ensure that my clients receive the most informed, compassionate, and effective support possible.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is rooted in a holistic philosophy. I believe that true wellness encompasses not only mental health, but also the physical, spiritual, and social aspects of a person’s life. I take time to understand each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals, and I partner with them to support their journey toward living a fulfilling and balanced life.

I utilize an individualized combination of evidence-based treatments, including medication management, lifestyle interventions, and talk therapy. By integrating these elements, I aim to empower clients to achieve their goals, build resilience, and reach their fullest potential. My commitment is to provide compassionate, client-centered care that honors the whole person.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where you’ll have the space to share your story. I will take a thorough history, including your current symptoms, past treatments, and what has or hasn’t worked well for you. We will also talk about your current concerns and the goals you hope to achieve moving forward.

This initial visit is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic partnership. Together, we will start developing a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your needs, values, and aspirations. My goal is to ensure you feel heard, understood, and confident that you have a partner in your care from day one.
