I'm accepting new patients in Arizona and California!

As a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I've dedicated my career to helping individuals find clarity and stability through compassionate, evidence-based medication management. My journey in mental health began with my foundational education at Mount Saint Joseph University, followed by advanced psychiatric training at Purdue Global, where I developed specialized expertise in psychopharmacology—the science of how psychiatric medications work in the brain and body.

I understand that starting or adjusting psychiatric medication can feel overwhelming. Many of my patients come to me after struggling with multiple providers, ineffective treatments, or confusing explanations about their care. I've made it my mission to change that experience. When we work together, you'll never wonder why I'm recommending a particular medication or what to expect from your treatment plan.

My clinical focus includes complex conditions that benefit from careful, individualized medication strategies: ADHD, OCD, personality disorders, PTSD and trauma-related conditions, depression, anxiety disorders, panic disorder, mood disorders, and bipolar disorder. I particularly enjoy working with patients who have treatment-resistant symptoms or multiple diagnoses—situations that require creative problem-solving and a deeper understanding of how medications interact within your unique system.

What sets my approach apart is the time I invest in truly understanding you. I'm here to provide clear guidance and consistent support throughout your journey toward better mental health.

My approach to therapy

I approach psychiatric care by uniting compassion with evidence, believing the finest treatment blends research-based medication management with authentic human connection. My philosophy is centered on collaboration—I am not directing you but working alongside you as we navigate your mental health journey together. I deeply respect your autonomy and your insight into your own body and mind.

When we meet, I want you to know this is a safe space where you can be honest and genuine about your struggles. I listen without judgment, respond with compassion, and draw on clinical expertise to help you understand your symptoms and treatment possibilities.

In medication management, I take a thoughtful, personalized approach that accounts for your unique circumstances, history, symptoms, goals, and preferences. I discuss treatment options openly, explaining how different medications function, what we are aiming to accomplish, and what to anticipate regarding benefits and side effects.

Sometimes identifying the right medication calls for patience, fine-tuning, and candid communication about what is working and what is not. I am here for that entire process—tracking your progress, addressing concerns, acknowledging improvements, and making adjustments as needed to support your wellbeing.

I practice holistic care, exploring how sleep, stress, and lifestyle factors shape your mental health. I stay accessible between appointments to offer continuous support and coordinate with your other providers when it proves beneficial.

My ultimate goal is helping you achieve meaningful symptom relief, stronger functioning, and renewed hope. I believe that with the right support, healing is within reach, and I am genuinely honored to be part of your journey toward a life that feels authentically yours. You deserve compassionate, expert care, and I am here at every step along the way. That is not simply a commitment I make—it is one I keep.

What you can expect from me

During our first appointment, my goal is fostering an environment where you feel recognized, validated, and hopeful about your journey toward wellness. I will greet you warmly and begin building the bond that is essential to effective treatment. You deserve to be heard, and that is exactly what you will experience from the very start.

We will spend time exploring what has been troubling you, whether anxiety, depression, mood shifts, focus difficulties, or other mental health concerns. We will look at how your symptoms are manifesting in daily life, affecting your profession, relationships, self-care practices, and overall well-being.

I will review your mental health history carefully, covering prior diagnoses, earlier treatment efforts, and medications you have tried. Knowing what has already been attempted allows me to avoid repeating unsuccessful paths and instead build upon what demonstrated genuine benefit. We will also discuss your medical background, current prescriptions, family psychiatric tendencies, and substance use, as each of these factors influences our treatment planning.

I will explain medications that could address your symptoms, how they operate, what improvements you may notice, and which side effects are possible. I will cover realistic timelines, because medications often need several weeks to show their full effect, and establishing sound expectations matters. I want you entering every phase of care with clarity and confidence, never uncertainty or confusion.

We will address your medication concerns, whether they center on adverse reactions, effectiveness, or long-term use, and explore supportive approaches like physical movement, improved sleep habits, and stress management techniques.

By the conclusion of our visit, you will possess a thorough, personalized treatment plan and a skilled, committed partner firmly at your side. Your courage in taking this step will be matched by the dedication you deserve.
