Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Lindsay. You have gotten good at holding it together, and almost no one around you knows what that costs. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples, and I also see children and older adults. Much of my work centers on anxiety, depression, and trauma, along with autism, eating disorders, and the aftermath of narcissistic abuse. I adjust my approach to meet the specific needs of each client. Clients often tell me they feel seen and safe with me.

My approach to therapy

Together we get underneath the symptoms instead of just managing them. With anxiety, that usually means learning what your body is reacting to and finding real options in the moments you used to feel trapped. With trauma, it means the past loosens its grip on your present, so a memory becomes something you carry rather than something that runs you. I believe every person's story deserves to be heard, and much of my work is making sure yours finally is, out loud, with someone who will not flinch. We build a relationship strong enough to hold the hard conversations, and from there you make the changes you actually want in your life. This works best for people who are tired of coping alone and ready to be honest, even when honesty is uncomfortable.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is mostly you talking and me listening. I will ask what brought you here and what you want to be different, and you can tell me as much or as little as you are ready to say. I know that caring for your mental health and being vulnerable with someone you just met can feel scary, so I do everything I can to make each appointment as comfortable as possible. If this sounds like the kind of support you have been looking for, reach out and we can start wherever you want to start.
