Great to meet you!

With two master's degrees and 10 years of clinical experience, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals, couples, and families across a wide range of concerns and life circumstances. While my clinical background is broad, my primary focus and passion has been working with adults navigating substance use and recovery. I believe meaningful change begins with understanding yourself—your experiences, patterns, strengths, and the beliefs that may be shaping how you navigate life.

Therapy should be a place where you feel safe to be honest, vulnerable, and fully yourself. I strive to provide a warm, non-judgmental environment where you can openly express and process your experiences while also being challenged when needed. My style is direct yet compassionate, flexible, and responsive to where you are in your journey.

Whether you are working through substance use, relationships, difficult life experiences, or simply trying to better understand yourself, my goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, strengthen your sense of self, and build the tools necessary to create meaningful and sustainable change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is solution-focused, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Rather than simply telling you what you should do, I work alongside you to identify the changes you want to make and help you develop the insight, confidence, and skills needed to move toward them. I am committed to helping you recognize and build upon your existing strengths while developing effective coping strategies for managing life’s challenges. I believe there is no single approach that works for everyone, so I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques and tailor our work to your individual needs and goals.

What you can expect from me

Building the therapeutic relationship is a fundamental step in our journey. Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another, talk about what brought you to therapy, and begin identifying what you hope will be different in your life. You do not need to have everything figured out before we begin. I will ask questions about your experiences, relationships, current challenges, and goals, while giving you space to share at your own pace. I want to understand not only what you are struggling with, but also who you are beyond the challenges you are facing. You can expect me to be warm, honest, and genuinely curious about your experience. I will listen without judgment, while also offering thoughtful observations and gently challenging patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Everything is collaborative!
