Great to meet you!

After becoming licensed in 2013, I began working at in Emergency Psychiatric Services at a local hospital. In September 2022, I moved to private practice with the goal of developing relationships with my clients and empowering them to make positive changes. I currently am certified in DBT and completing both my certifications in ADHD and Brainspotting (BSP). I enjoy working with a wide variety of diagnoses and age ranges.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I often use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to assist clients in managing emotions and mood fluctuations in a healthier manner. Another area that I am presently completing my certification on is called Brainspotting (BSP). Brainspotting is a powerful tool, similar to EMDR, in unlocking past trauma residing in the brain and alleviating symptoms relating to the trauma (s).

What you can expect from our first session

In the first session, we will review your past history, current presentation and treatment goals. Subsequent sessions will focus on alleviating any distress and create a positive environment for personal growth. I do not believe that a "one size fits all" approach to therapy is beneficial to the client.
