Great to meet you!

Seeking therapy can feel vulnerable, and finding the right therapist matters. I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, self-esteem concerns, identity exploration, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the lasting impact of difficult family experiences. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported while building practical skills that lead to meaningful, lasting change.

I earned my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University in 2004 and have worked in the mental health field for more than 20 years. I have been licensed in Missouri since 2006 and in Kansas since 2023.

I am a National Certified Counselor and hold advanced certifications in trauma, DBT, sex therapy-informed care, and personality disorders. I am also a full member of WPATH and have specialized training in trauma-informed care, attachment, identity development, and emotional regulation.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual. I integrate trauma-informed therapy, DBT-informed skills, and insight-oriented work to help clients better understand themselves, strengthen emotional regulation, develop healthier relationships, and create meaningful, sustainable change.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in authenticity. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change. Therapy is a partnership, and together we will explore patterns, develop practical skills, and work toward goals that support your overall well-being.

I strive to create a space where you feel safe to explore your experiences without judgment. I believe healing begins with greater self-understanding and compassion for the experiences that have shaped you. My goal is to help you build insight, strengthen resilience, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and aligned with your values.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine whether we are a good fit. We will talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you are facing, and what you hope will be different as a result of our work together. You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin.

My approach is conversational, collaborative, and tailored to you. I will ask questions, listen to your story, and help identify patterns, strengths, and areas of focus for our work together. Most importantly, I want you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of both where you are and where we can go from here.
