Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Lindsay Turner, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Boca Raton, Florida.

I specialize in anxiety, ADHD, perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-esteem, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I have a particular interest in helping people who second-guess themselves, feel responsible for everyone else’s happiness, or struggle to feel secure in their relationships. My work often focuses on strengthening self-trust, setting boundaries, and understanding the patterns that influence how we see ourselves and connect with others. I also work with couples to improve communication, navigate conflict, and build emotional connection.

I bring warmth, honesty, curiosity, and a sense of humor to my work. I’m an engaged, down-to-earth therapist who values getting to know you as a person, including your strengths, your experiences, and what makes life meaningful to you. My goal is to help you feel more confident being yourself and create more room for connection, fulfillment, and joy.

My approach to therapy

My style is conversational, engaged, and compassionate, with directness and humor when they’re helpful. I ask questions, share observations, and help you connect the dots between what you’re feeling, what you’ve experienced, and how you respond. I’ll support you while also gently challenging the beliefs and habits that may be getting in your way.

My approach is grounded in Adlerian therapy, which considers how early experiences and our need for belonging shape the way we see ourselves and relate to others. I also draw from CBT, ACT, and DBT to help you respond to difficult thoughts, manage emotions, and make choices that reflect what matters to you. With couples, I incorporate attachment-based approaches and Gottman Method principles.

Our work is practical, too. We might work through how to express a need, practice setting a boundary, or find a manageable way to approach something you’ve been avoiding. Together, we’ll turn what you learn about yourself into steps you can use outside our sessions.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been difficult, and what you’d like to change. You don’t need to prepare anything or know exactly where to start. I’ll help guide the conversation and make room for whatever feels most important to you.

I want to understand what your life feels like day to day: what’s weighing on you, the relationships that matter to you, and where you’re feeling stuck. We’ll talk about your background, what you’ve tried so far, and the strengths we can build on. You’ll also have time to ask questions and get a feel for what it’s like to work with me.

Together, we’ll begin identifying goals that feel meaningful and manageable, at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive. My hope is that you leave feeling heard and understood, with a clearer sense of how we can work together and what to expect next.
