Let me start by saying: you deserve to take up space. You are allowed to feel what you’re feeling. Your brain’s first instinct is to keep you alive, so whatever is happening internally makes sense in the context of your experiences. In our work together, my hope is that you can safely allow yourself to experience and process your emotions fully. As the saying goes, “the only way out is through.”
I believe we are all doing our best given the circumstances we’re in. At the same time, growth often means recognizing that “doing your best” can also include learning new ways of coping, relating, and responding. Together, we can explore what “better” looks like for you and how to realistically get there.
My therapeutic style is supportive, empowering, person-centered, compassionate, and encouraging. I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach—meeting you where you are while also gently challenging unhelpful patterns when appropriate. Therapy with me is active, engaging, and focused on building insight as well as real-life change.
I integrate evidence-based approaches including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
I also incorporate mindfulness practices and somatic interventions when appropriate to support emotional regulation and strengthen the mind-body connection.
