Great to meet you!

Maybe you’re a teen feeling the weight of school and friendships, a young adult figuring out what comes next, or a woman juggling more than anyone sees. Wherever you are, you don’t have to sort it out alone. As a soon-to-be mom of three, a West Texas girl who now calls Fort Worth home, and a former school counselor, I’ve spent years walking alongside people through anxiety, grief, self-doubt, and big life changes. Together, we’ll create a warm, judgment-free space and find practical tools that actually fit your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, with a healthy dose of humor, because therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. More than anything, I want you to feel safe and heard. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches and choose what fits you best. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which looks at how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors connect, and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), which helps you understand and work through your emotions. I also use Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to build on what’s already working and Problem-Solving Therapy (PST) to tackle challenges step by step. Art therapy offers a creative outlet when words are hard to find, and Family Focused Therapy (FFT) brings in parents or loved ones when that support would help. Together, we’ll find the mix that fits your needs, set goals, and practice real-life coping skills at a pace that feels right.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other, with no pressure to have it all figured out or know exactly what to say. Sessions are 55 minutes and fully virtual, so you can join from wherever you feel most comfortable. We’ll start with a few minutes on how therapy works, including confidentiality, so you know what to expect. Then we’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what’s been going on in your life, and what you’d like to feel different. I’ll ask some questions to understand your background and strengths. We’ll finish by setting a starting point for your goals and talking about how often we’ll meet, and you’ll have plenty of time to ask me questions along the way. For teens, a parent may join for the first part so everyone is on the same page, and then we’ll have time one-on-one. Most of all, I hope you leave feeling a little lighter and confident you’re in the right place.
