Great to meet you!

Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy, and I received my MFT degree from Mercer University. I have been practicing therapy for 5 years. I am passionate about working with adults struggling with anxiety and grief. I also work with couples who are hoping to improve their communication and connection to each other. I have been married to my husband since 2012, and we have three kids. I am also a Registered Nurse, so I have a great deal of medical knowledge in my background.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I utilize CBT techniques to explore current thought patterns that are creating distress for my clients. I then help them challenge those thoughts and create alternative pathways to a greater sense of peace mentally. I also examine client's behaviors and how those behaviors are contributing to overall feelings and wellness.

What you can expect from our first session

I love working with adults of all ages. When working with individuals, I try to understand their current patterns of thinking, emotions, and where trouble might be present. For couples, we will work together to improve emotional safety and speak openly with each other. Initially, I will ask what you are hoping to work on in therapy. However, most of the time will be spent getting to know you from all angles. I like to have a whole picture of my client instead of just focusing on the problem.
